Our last ad got a lot of attention, and rightly so.

It failed to reflect our values as a company, and for that, we’re truly sorry.

We want to thank everyone who came forward to tell us something was wrong. Everyday, people use our products to inspire and create — whether it’s printing out fliers, making copies of unredacted documents or manufacturing gizmos. We are proud to help individuals and communities shape culture, progress, and change.

We believe there are lots of ways to “make history.” Positive ways. But we deeply regret that this message did not come across in our ad. It was certainly not our intention to promote political violence.

As with everything we do, we take this seriously. We are reviewing our internal processes to ensure future work reflects our values. We’re grateful for the opportunity to address this, and we look forward to supporting anyone whose goal it is to manifest a blasting peace.

Aesop, please send this to proof before publishing.
